BJP seat share in Ladakh council shrinks, Congress gains

In Ladakh’s first electoral exercise since it became a Union Territory, BJP on Monday retained its hold on the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council even as its footprint shrank from 18 seats to 15, with an even bigger setback being the defeat of outgoing chief executive councillor Gyal P. Wangyal.
