No trains: Centre adamant, Punjab looks to farmers to end sit-ins

The Punjab government is set to approach farmer outfits in order to break the deadlock created by farmers’ sitins on railway tracks, because of which the Centre has refused to ply freight trains in the state. Inbound and outbound movement of fertilisers, cotton, coal and food grains has come to a stop in Punjab due to the suspension of rail services in the state.
