Chennai: Four Vandalur zoo lions infected with Delta variant of Covid-19

Four lions of Vandalur Arignar Anna Zoological Park infected by SARS-CoV-2 have now tested positive for the highly contagious Delta variant. The strain, which has largely been responsible for surge in cases in humans, was declared a variant of concern by the World Health Organisation on May 11.
