UP court to resume hearing Shringar Gauri case on May 23

Arguments in the Shringar Gauri case are scheduled to resume on Monday in the court of the Varanasi district judge, marking a fresh start in a litigation that has seen multiple twists since five women petitioners moved the civil judge (senior division) seeking the right to unhindered daily worship of Hindu deities lining the outer wall of the Gyanvapi mosque complex. The case was transferred to the district judge's court on the instructions of the Supreme Court.
