Sherwood principal gets jail in student's death case

The Nainital CJM court Wednesday pronounced Sherwood College principal Amandeep Sandhu and two others guilty of criminal negligence in a case relating to the death of a Class IX student eight years ago, reports Sonali Mishra. The court sentenced the three to two years in jail and fined each Rs 50,000. Shaan Prajapati, a student from Nepal, had died of septicemia after the school allegedly failed to provide him with proper and timely medical help.
