Pedestrian must judge road before crossing, says court as it acquits Mumbai biker in 2010 case

Acquitting a 44-year-old Mahim biker accused of running his two wheeler over the feet of a pedestrian crossing the road almost 13 years ago, a magistrate's court has observed that "it is the pedestrian who has to judge the road by observing the traffic from both sides". The court noted that the accused, Harish Migani, was not riding at high speed. It also pointed out that victim Adnan Khan admitted there was no traffic signal or marking for crossing the road.
