Traders’ boycott of onion trade to continue in Nashik

The Nashik District Onion Traders' Association has decided to extend their boycott of onion trade until the government addresses their demands, including the withdrawal of export duty and restrictions on government agencies selling onions in wholesale markets. The association's president, Khandu Deore, stated that they will not be able to pay farmers if they cannot get returns from the market. Despite the boycott, onion auctions have resumed in one sub-market, Vinchur, with an average price of Rs 2,175 per quintal. Farmers are facing financial strain due to the ongoing boycott.
