Class 5 girl kidnapped and raped in Rewa

A 5th-grade student was kidnapped and raped in Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, India. The 11-year-old survivor is in the hospital but is out of danger. Villagers protested violently, demanding that the accused be handed over to them. The incident occurred when the accused, a 20-year-old man, lured the victim and another child onto his motorcycle, promising to take them home. The accused later dropped them off at a different location and fled. Police arrested the accused and assured locals that appropriate legal action would be taken. The victim's identity has been protected.
