ENC to induct 20 to 25 new warships by 2037

Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag-Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C) of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), revealed that the Indian Navy plans to induct 20 to 25 new warships by 2037. These include various vessels such as frigates, corvettes, support vessels, survey vessels, shallow watercrafts, submarines, helicopters, and aircraft. The ENC will also see the commissioning of the Survey Vessel Sandhayak next year. Additionally, the Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in Visakhapatnam is building diving support vessels and fleet support ships for the Indian Navy.
