Bombay HC grants bail to Gautam Navlakha in Elgar Parishad case; stays it for 3 weeks

The Bombay High Court granted bail to Delhi-based activist and journalist Gautam Navlakha in the 2018 Pune Elgar Parishad case, where he was booked for alleged Maoist links and under the anti-terror act—UAPA. Navlakha, who has been incarcerated since April 2020, has been under house arrest in Navi Mumbai since November last year. The HC set aside the trial court order and the NIA intends to go to the Supreme Court against the grant of bail.
