Deo, a grassroots leader and member of the erstwhile 'zamindar' family of Sukma, has been actively involved in the party's organizational activities for decades. He won his first assembly poll ticket in the 2023 elections and secured victory with over 30,000 votes. The Bastar region, where Deo represents the lone unreserved seat, played a crucial role in the formation of the state government. Deo has held several key posts in the party in the past 25 years.
