Heavy pilgrim rush leads to chaos at Tirumala ahead of Vaikunta Ekadasi

Heavy pilgrim influx on Friday led to chaos at the sacred abode of Lord Venkateswara ahead of the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) suspended slotted sarva darshan tokens issuance and asked devotees to enter the queue lines directly. The Tirupati trust allowed only devotees with valid darshan tickets during the festival period. When devotees arrived at Tirumala, they were prevented from entering the full queue lines and compartments, causing heated altercations. TTD issued over four lakh Vaikunta Ekadasi slot darshan tokens at multiple locations in Tirupati.
