Foreign minister S Jaishankar to begin Russia visit to boost business ties

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is scheduled to visit Russia from December 25 to 29 for high-level exchanges. During his visit, Jaishankar will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and hold discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Trade Minister Denis Manturov to explore ways to enhance economic engagement. The talks with Lavrov will cover regional and global issues, including the conflicts in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas conflict. The visit aims to compensate for the fact that the annual India-Russia summit did not take place this year.
