Congress reacts on Milind Deora's resignation, says timing of announcement determined by PM Modi

In a surprising turn of events, senior Congress leader Milind Deora has resigned from the party just before the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The Congress has alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a hand in the timing of Deora's departure. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said Deora had reached out to him on Friday expressing concerns about the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena staking a claim to the South Mumbai Lok Sabha seat, a constituency that both Deora and his father, Murli Deora, had previously represented.
