Stalin writes to Jaishankar, flags 'disturbing trend' of Indian fishermen arrest

Expressing apprehension about the "alarming trend" of the arrest of Indian fishermen from Tamil Nadu, chief minister M K Stalin urged the Centre on Wednesday to reinstate a joint working group, emphasizing the imperative for diplomatic initiatives to address the situation. In a letter addressed to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, released by the state government, the chief minister highlighted the recent detention of six fishermen from Ramanathapuram district by the Sri Lankan Navy.
