(MENAFN) On Monday, Jun. 21 Yehya Sinwar, leader of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip, stated that his assembly with a UN commission over Gaza's humanitarian condition was "completely negative." Sinwar shared the remark in a news meeting following an assembly in Gaza city with a senior UN commission, comprising the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland. He noted that Israel "is blackmailing the Palestinian factions including Hamas in solving the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip," cautioning that the condition might worsen again if the problem stays unresolved. He further said that the UN commission "heard from us with interest and deep concerns, but unfortunately there are no indications of any good intentions toward solving the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip."
