Syria: Iran-supported militias assault US-run oil field

(MENAFN) On Monday, Jun. 28 a missile assault was conducted on the US-run Al-Omar oil field from Mayadin district in Syria's Deir-ez-Zor province, which is controlled by the Bashar al-Assad government and Iran-supported militia outfits. Local sources said that Al-Omar, Syria's biggest oil field, where the US and YPG/PKK terror outfit are present, was assaulted with Grad missiles. More than five missiles were fired from Mayadin district, where several Iranian-supported armed groups are rising, and some of them hit near a military center close to the oil field where US forces are found. In the meantime, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) also announced the missile assaults on the oil field.
