(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 2 (KUNA) -- 1961 -- Kuwait issues a release as response to remarks by Iraqi President Abdulkareem Qasim on June 25, 1961 on alleged historical claims in Kuwait. Kuwait also filed an urgent complaint to the Security Council on the claims. 1997 -- The first issue of "Al-Dustour" weekly was published. It is a parliamentary publication with Sheridah Al-Muoushirji as Editor-in-Chief. 2000 -- Kuwait and Saudi Arabia complete demarcation of maritime borders and celebrated the occasion in a ceremony at Bayan Palace with presence of late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the back then Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of the National Guard the late Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz. 2000 -- Late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah honors late Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of the National Guard Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz with the highest Kuwaiti medal, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Medal, in appreciation for his country's role in supporting Kuwaiti causes.
