Dozen cabinet Sudanese ministers hand over their resignation

(MENAFN) On Monday a dozen cabinet ministers handed over their letter of resignation to Abdalla Hamdok, Prime Minister of Sudan, in objection of a political agreement with the nation–s governing military council. On Sunday, Hamdok was put back in his post after contracting a political deal with Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the head of Sudan–s ruling military council, to end a catastrophe that lasted for weeks and endangered to weaken political transition of Sudan. Based on a statement published by the ministers, while the agreement was mainly greeted by the global community, political forces of Sudan have refuted it as an "attempt to legitimize the coup". The quitted ministers involve the ministers of foreign affairs, justice, agriculture, irrigation, investment as well as energy. The ministers of higher education, labor, transport, health, youth as well as religious affairs also submitted their letter of resignation.
