Murder investigation, Helston
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a woman in her home on Meneage Road, Helston.
Police were called to the address at 8.30am yesterday, Tuesday 25 May, with a report of concern for a woman.
Police attended with ambulance paramedics and a 62-year-old woman was found with a laceration wound and declared deceased upon arrival. Her next-of-kin have been informed.
Following extensive enquiries throughout yesterday and today, a 24-year-old man of no-fixed-abode, Helston – who was known to the deceased – was arrested in the town this morning.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity, or anything out of the ordinary, in the Greenbank, Bullock Lane and Meneage Street areas of Helston between the evening of Monday 24 May and the morning of Tuesday 25 May.
