Murder enquiry near Helston

Police have launched a murder enquiry following the death of a woman in the Mullion area on Saturday 29 May.

Officers were called by the ambulance service to an address at Laflouder Fields shortly after 11am following reports of concern for welfare.

A woman in hers 80s was confirmed deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and formal identification is yet to take place

An 84-year-old man from Helston has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time.

Scenes of crime officers remain at the scene and a police cordon is in place whilst enquiries are ongoing.
