*Protection From Accidents*

*LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / July 22, 2020 / *No one is going to be able to avoid all accidents. However, with some handy summer travel tips we may be able to avoid at least some of the potential crashes on America's roads this year. As you'll read about below, AAA also has some good ideas on how to avoid issues and travel safely in 2020. This is a unique year, and we need to make sure that as much travel on the road is safe. We owe it to ourselves and our families, considering the impact of changes in road travel and disease.

The NHTSA has a handy guide on ways to stay both safe and have a good time this summer. This is especially important this summer. There are several key issues that make this summer far different than that of previous years. The most important, by far is the impact of the *Coronavirus.* COVID is still wreaking havoc across much of the country and is a potent threat. Below we will talk about several key ways to avoid the virus and potential risks for summer vacation takers this year.

Overall, road travel is down this year due to the pandemic and economic downturn. Just because there are fewer people on the road doesn't mean that risks go away.

*The Risk of COVID*

Just because there is Coronavirus this year does not mean that you cannot enjoy your summer vacation. In fact, our better knowledge of the disease also means that we now have some means to prevent it. However, it is important to be as careful as possible. There is still no cure or vaccine. This means that you will have a lot on your mind as you travel. However, below are some tips that we offer to prevent potential infection.

*Corona Travel Checklist*

*Wear a Mask*

If you are going to be around other people, wear a mask. Make sure to have it cover both your mouth and your nose. There are several types of masks and mouth coverings available. If you have nothing else, wear a bandana or a homemade mouth covering. It is better than nothing. Furthermore, temporary cloth masks used by surgeons and medical professionals also help. There are also professional N95 masks intended to keep out 95% of all particulates and germs. This enables us a chance to avoid the disease at minimal cost and effort.

*Use Disinfectants*

This can take many different forms. Some include hand sanitizers based on alcohol. In other cases, bleach or chlorine based wipes and sprays help. These different types of products kill almost all types of germs. Use them on different surfaces, especially those that may be used by many people. If such a product is not available immediately, cover the surface with cloth or use gloves in order to touch. This further reduces the chance of transmitting the disease.

*Wash Your Hands*

This one should be most obvious. It's also one that many Americans are using in our current situation. However, just because you are used to washing your hands after using the bathroom doesn't mean that you are doing your part 100%. In fact, there is often confusion over how often to wash your hands, especially in light of our current pandemic. Make sure to use soap and wash every time that you come into contact with people or objects touched by other people.

*Keep Your Distance*

This one is being harped upon us every single day. Make sure to keep your distance from others that you are not related to. Keep at least six feet away at all times. This goes double for times in which you are inside. It also goes even more so if neither of you are wearing masks. Distance and face coverings are far more likely to reduce the spread of the disease that our society is fighting every day now.

*Travel Safely*

Reduce the number of unnecessary trips to the store or to places with many people as much as possible. Make sure to not come into close contact with others that you are not related to. Avoid eating in an establishment as much as possible. Wipe down surfaces before and after using them. Avoid touching your face as much as possible, especially after coming into contact with other people.

*Don't Travel if Sick*

This one as well should be very obvious. However, for some people it is even less so. If you are not feeling well, stay home. If you do not feel well on your trip, do not visit other people. Stay where you are. There have been cases where people are sick with COVID and do not realize it. They may be asymptomatic or ultimately show very few signs of having the disease. Depending on how your immune system is, you may have the disease and not even realize it. There is just not a lot that we understand about how the disease works. If you are in doubt, make sure to stay home.

*The Coronavirus Law Firm?*

There is a reason why Ehline Law is known as the Coronavirus Law Office. I've spent countless hours researching the disease and its spread. And more importantly we study the long term effects of the disease, both on the average person who contracts it and their family.

If you are concerned about the effect of Coronavirus on travel, we are here to help. We compiled this list of safe driving tips for several reasons. For starters, this is not a normal travel year. It is anything but. The safer we keep you on the road, the more likely that you will have a fun and safe trip. Furthermore, we are concerned about our fellow citizens. We need the economy to keep going and people to have social contact. Staying inside all alone is not healthy for anyone, especially when the sun is out. There are safe ways to travel, and we have been researching how to do so for our clients and our readers.

We hope that you never need to call us about the effects of Coronavirus while traveling, but if you ever do need us we are there. We are the preeminent COVID law firm in Southern California, including the effects of exposure and illness on individuals and families.

*Safety on the Road*

This is more of our bread and butter. Rather than talking about the long term effects of Coronavirus, we can talk about some handy tips you can take this summer-- or any summer. Hopefully the worst of the pandemic will be done and over with after 2020. However, what you will need to stay safe on the road is still important to you. Below we have some major ways that you can stay safe behind the wheel and keep those close to you safe as well!

*Long Trip Safety Checklist*

You might be best to print out this website post in order to do a full checklist before you travel any large distance. If you plan to go more than 100 miles each way, consider the checklist to keep you and your family safe. It may seem like small potatoes, but on a trip it may make all the difference in the world.

*Check Before You Go!*

· *Check Your Tires.* This goes beyond just checking for any wear or nails in them. Make sure that the pressure is appropriate before you head out. Not sure what the tire pressure should be? Check in the interior of your driver's side door for the proper pressure and weight ratings.· *Change Your Oil.* You'd be surprised how many drivers do not realize they should have clean oil before they embark on a major journey. It makes your vehicle more fuel efficient and reduces the chance that your trip will leave you with major engine damage. Metal scrapings and heat from the normal operation of your vehicle (or due to any mechanical issue) may cause severe issues over time.· *Secure Everything Going With You.* You would be surprised how many times we hear of injuries caused by loose items being carried by another item. If you are traveling, make sure that these are done before you even leave home. Even if your goods don't hurt someone else, you don't want to lose anything on the road!· *Check Your Insurance.* This is one that many people miss out on before a major trip. They think they have insurance, what else is there to worry about? However, making sure that your insurance policy matches exactly what you need is crucial. Adjust the number of miles that you will be traveling on your policy. Consider springing for roadside assistance and glass replacement policies, even if you do not have them. Spending a few more bucks before you head out might be worth thousands in case of any unforeseen circumstances. It might also not hurt to get AAA!

*When You Need Help*

Hopefully, after reading the list above you and your family have the best possible vacation in 2020. No problems. No issues. Just a lot of fun and safety to be had. However, we understand that that is not always going to be the case. That is why I got into law.

If you or a loved one was hurt or got sick during such a trip, I want to make sure that you have the legal protections you deserve. Don't just let it go or think that it's not worth fighting for. If you have medical bills, let a legal professional help you during your time of need. If a child of yours needs rehab, that is what we are here for. Consider us your additional insurance policy.

The Ehline Law Firm APLC works on contingency. We don't have any hidden fees or surprises. It is a simple equation. If we recover for you, we ask for a portion. If we don't, you don't owe us a penny. That is part of what makes our firm special. Furthermore, we work with our clients on a personal, first name basis. When I take on your case-- I *need* to win. It's not just a matter of what is on an insurance policy or a court filing. Our firm has a solemn obligation to you as long as we are working together. If you trust us, then we need to return the favor.

We also work with medical professionals to assure the best possible care. In some cases, we even pay for the cost of treatment up front. We work with accident reconstructionists to determine exactly what happened on the road and if anyone has any liability. In most cases, we are able to achieve a settlement without going to court. We don't mess or wait around when it comes to helping our clients with car accident cases.

When I say that we are here for you, I really mean it. I'm available 24/7 at (213) 596-9642. Or email me personally at michael@ehlinelaw.com. Or contact one of our attorneys at losangeles@ehlinelaw.com. We will come to you anywhere in the state of California to discuss your legal rights and how we can help you. That's the name of the game. If we don't build trust and win for our clients, both of us walk away with nothing. If we foster a relationship and hold those who should be responsible to account, we each win. And perhaps we can protect someone else from having to go through a difficult injury, as well.
