*PLANO, TX / ACCESSWIRE / June 30, 2021 / *According to Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF), about 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. have reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder during the global pandemic. This rapid decline in mental health and well-being has negatively impacted eating and sleeping habits and increased alcohol and drug consumption, and has worsened pre-existing chronic conditions.

Chris Harris, the founder of Motivational Pros, says the increase in unemployment, economic recession, and extended periods of isolation resulting from COVID-19 have induced heightened levels of fear and depression. 'One way to manage these conditions is to develop the right mindset,' Harris says. 'Equipped with the right mindset? Mental fitness is improved, goals are achieved, and lives are transformed.'

Motivational Pros was built out of Harris's real-life experience in mindset training, which began at the age of 10 when he first started studying martial arts. The mental fitness he began developing as a child gave him invaluable coping skills that have protected him throughout his life, as he overcame a tumultuous childhood that included homelessness and being permanently separated from his siblings. Harris later developed an elite system of close-quarters combat that he taught to private security firms, federal agencies, the military, and special forces for 25 years. His program included the physical aspect of combatives, and how to achieve and maintain toughened mental fitness despite overwhelming odds or extreme adversity.

These experiences kindled the valuable teachings that Motivational Pros now disseminates to their audiences, providing the roadmap for obtaining the same six primary mindsets Harris taught to warriors through combatives training. Leveraging fear as a tool for self-motivation and obtaining health through optimism are just a few examples of the mindsets their presentations encompass. 'We're all about using the tools we already possess,' Harris says. 'In life - as in combat - mindset is everything. Our mindset affects our mood, and our mood affects our physical health.'

According to the National Alliance of Mental Illness, mood disorders are the most common cause of hospitalization (not including birth and pregnancy) for all people in the U.S. under age 45 - but one of the goals for Motivational Pros is creating post-pandemic mental health conditions that don't have to escalate into depression, anxiety, and addiction. An even more long-term goal? Stress-free living, via the solutions that are readily available within the human mind.
