Microsoft Announces Theme-Aware Splash Screens in Windows 10

After theme-aware live tiles in the Start menu, which are available today for everybody as part of the update to Windows 10 October 2020 Update, here come the theme-aware splash screen for apps. More specifically, Microsoft announced in the most recent preview build of Windows 10 that it’s bringing a new design to splash screens, essentially allowing their look to match the one of the operating system. In other words, if you use the dark mode in Windows 10, then the splash screen is dark too. If you stick with the light mode, the light visual style is used too. “Building on theme-aware tiles in Start, we’re introducing theme-aware splash screens for Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps.
