Durkan, Best say Seattle City Council’s ban on police ‘crowd-control weapons’ conflicts with consent decree

The mayor and police chief have asked the federal judge overseeing the SPD's agreement with the Department of Justice to postpone implementing the city council's new ordinance banning the use of tear gas and other less-lethal weapons against crowds.
