NYPD cop injured by protesters leaves hospital, tells supporters 'I bled for this city'

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York City Police Commissioner Dermot F. Shea on Friday said the court system -- beleaguered by the coronavirus pandemic -- was responsible for the recent uptick in violent crime, especially after a man accused of attacking four officers during a protest on the Brooklyn Bridge last week was released without bail.
