Calif. Gov. Newsom orders ban on sales of gas-powered cars by 2035

California Gov. Gavin Newsom issued an executive order Wednesday to ban sales of new gasoline-fueled vehicles by 2035 in a bid to combat climate change amid a record-breaking wildfire season marked by weather he called "unprecedented."
