Repair or replace? 7 options to fix West Seattle Bridge presented Wednesday

SEATTLE -- A new report on what it will take to get traffic moving again to West Seattle after the closure of the broken West Seattle Bridge says we can spend less now to get it fixed, but in the long run that could end up costing more than just building a new bridge. But SDOT engineers say there may be a new replacement option that would not take as long to rebuild. Engineering experts have gone over six possible ways to get a fix or bridge replacement in place, and what those plans could possibly cost, though they are clear their cost-benefit analysis is only a rough guess and any the real costs could change dramatically.
