Myanmar Military Announces Planned Release of 2,000 Prisoners Amid Chaos and Unrest

The Military Junta in Myanmar announced plans to release about 2,000 of their prisoners, held in captivity since the beginning of the coup. The announcement comes after more than 5,200 people have been imprisoned from the time the military took control.
