Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas has stated that the three incidents involving damage to a gas pipeline and two telecom cables between Estonia, Finland, and Sweden are likely connected. Finnish police have identified the Chinese-owned container carrier NewNew Polar Bear as the main suspect in damaging the gas pipeline. Both Estonia and Finland are investigating the incidents, with NATO increasing patrols in the Baltic Sea. China has expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation.
