Chinese party delegation visits Solomon Islands: Chinese state media

A Chinese communist party delegation led by Guo Yezhou, the deputy head of the international department, has visited the Solomon Islands. The visit highlights the "flourishing" cooperation between China and the Pacific nation, with both countries recently upgrading their ties to a "comprehensive strategic partnership." The delegation met with Solomon Islands' prime minister Manasseh Sogavare, as well as the foreign minister and energy minister. China's visit comes amid concerns from Australia and the United States about the Solomon Islands' security pact with China.
