Female Israeli soldier freed in Gaza during ground op, says army

An Israeli soldier, Ori Megidish, who was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, has been freed during a military operation in the Gaza Strip. The soldier has undergone medical checks and is reported to be doing well. Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, welcomed her home and expressed commitment to free all the remaining hostages held by Hamas. The militant group is believed to be holding around 240 captives, and has released four hostages so far.
