Israeli warplanes target and make inoperable Damascus airport, just hours after flights had resumed following a similar attack last month. The raid targeted the runways and an explosion was heard from a military airport in the capital. Israel has launched hundreds of airstrikes on Syria since 2011. Attacks have intensified since the war between Israel and Hamas began on October 7, with strikes on Damascus and Aleppo airports putting both facilities out of service.
