Two attacks in Chiapas during Mexico's June municipal elections left 8 dead. Candidates survived but one was wounded. Violence escalates in Chiapas against politicians seeking office in June vote. Attacks occurred in Villa Corzo and Mapastepec. Previous ambush in La Concordia killed 6, including mayoral candidate Lucero Lopez. More than two dozen politicians killed since September last year.
