Funeral Held At National Cathedral For George H.W. Bush
According to CNN, 3,000 political leaders and family members congregated at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.
For the funeral of George H.W.
Former President Bush died on Nov.
30th at the age of 94.
During his adult life, George Herbert Walker Bush served in the US Navy during World War II as a naval aviator, ultimately flying 58 combat missions.
After working in the oil business, Bush entered civic service as a congressional representative, serving later as the UN ambassador, CIA director, and vice president.
In 1988, he successfully ran for US President on the Republican ticket, becoming the first incumbent vice president to be elected as president in 152 years.
His son, former President George W.
Bush, said his father valued character over pedigree, and looked for the good in everybody, which he usually found.
