TSA Airport Screeners Aren't Showing Up To Work--Because They Can't Afford To Get There
Transportation Security Administration have been forced to work without pay during the government shutdown.
And according to Business Insider, the squeeze on their bank accounts has led to large numbers of them calling out from work across the country, because they simply cannot afford to get there.
Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is the fourth busiest airport in the US.
Since the shutdown, a local TSA official told the publication that the call out rate has increased 200% to 300%.
