Turkey's Erdogan Expresses Uncertainty Over Syria After U.S. Withdrawal

According to a report by Reuters, on Thursday, ahead of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that uncertainty lingers over the withdrawal of US troops from Syria.

While speaking in the Russian resort of Sochi, Erdogan reportedly said that Turkey looked to move in coordination with Russia on developing a planned safe zone in northern Syria.

Reuters reports that Erdogan went on to claim the Syria's territorial integrity could not be established as long as the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia remains in the area.
