Ruth Bader Ginsburg Returns To The Supreme Court

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg returned to the Supreme Court Friday to attend a closed-door meeting of the nine justices.

The meeting is her first appearance since she announced her cancer surgery.

The 85 year-old underwent  surgery in December , in order to remove cancerous nodules from her left lung.

The justice missed two weeks of oral arguments in January, which was the first time she's ever missed arguments in her career.  This isn't the first time Ginsburg has been diagnosed with cancer.

She underwent surgery in 1999 for colorectal cancer and again in 2009 for early stage pancreatic cancer.

According to a statement after her most recent surgery, there is no evidence of disease remaining in her body.

Justices will to return to the bench on Tuesday, but it is unclear if Ginsburg will sit for oral arguments.
