It’s all about the Benjamins on Tax Day.????Unfortunately, taxpayers are seeing smaller refunds in the U.S.????But it pays to live in certain areas.????These are the top cities where taxpayers tend to get larger refunds.????Take it from MagnifyMoney, which crunched IRS data from 2013 through 2017 to see filing patterns.????Residents of Fort Myers, FL received the biggest average refunds at $3,833.????Miami, FL was second on the list where just over ¾ of people got $3,713.????New York City took the third spot with an average refund of $3,677.????McAllen, TX came in fourth and the average refund was $3,659.????Houston, TX rounded out the top 5 and the average refund was $3,587.????MagnifyMoney found more people out West get tax bills.????Another finding was higher tax bills correspond with larger tax refunds.????The higher the tax bill, the fatter your refund check will be.????It all adds up to a nice payday.
