Half Ton Of Cocaine Found In Banana Crates In Germany
Business Insider reports supermarket workers in northern Germany this week found more than half a ton of cocaine hidden inside banana crates.
Employees found the cocaine hidden among bananas at six Aldi supermarkets in Rostock and an Aldi warehouse in Jarmen on Wednesday.
A local newspaper, Die Welt, reported that half a ton of the drugs is worth around 25 million euros.
Police in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state believe the cocaine was shipped from Latin America.
