Sudanese Protesters Wave Flags From Roof of Khartoum-Bound Train
Protesters on April 23 waved flags and held banners on a train from Atbara, in Sudan’s River Nile state, to the capital of Khartoum, where demonstrators outside the military headquarters continued to call for the formation of a civilian government.
Sudan Daily reported that the train bought hundreds of protesters to Khartoum on Tuesday.
According to Reuters, Atbara was the birthplace of the uprising which led to the end of President Omar al-Bashir’s 26-year rule in Sudan.
