In 2011, a corpse carrying Minnesota resident Igor Vorotinov’s passport and other identifying documents was found on the side of a Moldovan road.
According to Newser, a funeral was held for Vorotinov back in the United States.
His ex-wife Irina cashed in on a $2 million life insurance policy.
The following year, one of the couple's two grown sons was visiting a family friend in Moldova when he ran into his father.
