Back in the Game: Oconomowoc baseball player perseveres after losing arm in crash
Nathaniel Froemming, 13, is back playing baseball in Oconomowoc after he lost his dominant arm in a car crash 18 months ago.
After several weeks in the hospital and seven surgeries, he began his journey back to baseball and has learned to play with one arm.
"Usually, when I get the ball, I field it, and I flick it up to myself.
I throw the glove down, and I throw the ball," Froemming said.
"He definitely has perseverance after everything he's been through.
(The) most important thing is that he's a good ball player.
He's a good teammate, and he's a great kid," coach Scott Tewes said.
Froemming was recently invited to throw out the first pitch at Miller Park.
