Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters gate-crashed the London East Asia Film Festival.

The demonstrators chanted: "Freedom for Hong Kong" and "democracy now".

The open-air screening event was being held in the Leicester Square area -- famous for its cinemas and movie premieres.

The action coincided with protests in Hong Kong today (Sunday 28 July) that have ended in clashes with police firing tear gas.
