The three British men who helped restrain a knife-wielding man in Sydney have said that would do it all over again.
The attacker killed a woman and wounded another during a stabbing rampage on Tuesday (August 13).
(SOUNDBITE) (English) MAN WHO HELPED RESTRAIN KNIFE ATTACKER LEE CUTHBERT, SAYING: "These guys are like my brothers, so once you see them go, you kind of just, follow suit really.
It was pretty chaotic, very surreal experience, I didn't really think to be honest, you just act on instinct." (SOUNDBITE) (English) MAN WHO HELPED RESTRAIN KNIFE ATTACKER LUKE O'SHAUGHNESSY, SAYING: "Yeah, he was very troubled and you could see that, and it was just a shame to see this weak person that had caused so much damage.
And you know, by then, it was unknown what he had done, how much the extent of what he's done.
And he just lay there, this person, thinking, I was thinking to myself like how on earth does he been allowed to do this." (SOUNDBITE) (English) MAN WHO HELPED RESTRAIN KNIFE ATTACKER PAUL O'SHAUGHNESSY, SAYING: " We love Australia.
It's an amazing place and I'll tell you right now, we've had this conversation in the car, if it happened again, we would do it again." The 21-year-old man is now in police custody in hospital.
The incident is not being treated as a terrorism.
