Erdogan Denies Escape Of Islamic State Prisoners

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan spoke out about reports that Islamic State prisoners escaped.

Erdogan dismissed reports that the prisoners left northeastern Syria as a result of Turkey’s offensive.

According to Reuters, he said the news was “disinformation” aimed at provoking the West.

The Kurdish-led administration said 785 foreigners affiliated with Islamic State escaped.

They said they were being held in a camp that was left vulnerable after Turkish shelling.
