Business Insider reports US forces destroyed the headquarters of their anti-ISIS efforts in Syria on Wednesday.

The move was prevent the facilities from falling into the hands of fighters backed by Turkey.

On Friday, Turkish forces fired at a US position in Syria, which some US officials say was deliberate.

Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are on their way to Ankara to try and broker a ceasefire.
