Black Friday Gets More Sales Online

U.S. shoppers decided to stay home and shop online rather than face the frenzy of Black Friday.

According to Reuters, data shows more purchases were made online than at the mall this year.

Yet there was more store traffic on Thanksgiving evening, showing a shift in when consumers shop.

Whether online or in-store, retailers are more focused on getting the transaction.

Big stores like Target, Best Buy and Walmart spend billions of dollars expanding their e-commerce.
