The people of Mexico City, Mexico, mourn the death of 7-year-old, Fátima, whose body was found abandoned in a plastic bag on Saturday, February 15.
The girl had vanished on Monday when a woman offered to escort her home.
Mexico City prosecutor Ernestina Godoy said the girl “recognized her, and so they let her go with her.” Surveillance cameras later identified the woman.
The woman and Fátima were seen getting in a white vehicle that evening.
The funeral took place on Tuesday, February 18.
