Crews surveying storm damage in Marshall County
Thanks rob, our live team coverage continues in marshall county..
Waay 31s rodneya ross joins us live this morning from boaz- one of north alabama's hardest hit areas.
This morning some people are working to clean up after a tornado leaves behind a path of damage.
Waay 31's rodneya ross is live there now with how the community is coping.
Right now i'm on hillview avenue...behind me is a home that was destroyed by the tornado.
Adlib what i see going on i've been talking to neighbors all morning about the damage on their streets.
Sot michael clay "not really loud roarin.
I just heard a roarin and then the storm blew threw.
It came and went in just a matter of seconds."
Vo michael clay told me he hid in a closet as the storm rolled through.
His home sustaining damage -- sot "roof damage, a couple of walls moved, a lot of siding damage."
Vo -- but nothing like some of his neighbors.
Clay told me now is the time the community will come together to rebuild.
Sot "everybody is pitching in and working to help each other.
I've had several offers to help this morning."
In this home behind me was a seven month old baby and five year old boy -- i'm told they were trapped in the home but were rescued and are doing okay.
Everyone i talked to here told me they're grateful no one was seriously hurt.
